Artistry helps show that distinctive of what you see on TV, comments on social media, etc that the majority of people, regardless of their income, sexual orientation, or politics, get along and can do wonderul things together. To me, Fast Car is a song about social mobility, being able to go from one place to another and not being trapped. I think that music speaks to something that people are really, really, really viscerally experiencing. Timeless classic.
